Closer every minute

Today I’m posting a little earlier than usual due to the jewish holiday Yom Kippur, which is one of the few holidays I observe. I guess those who “bought on Rosh Hashana and sold on Yom Kippur” were not blessed this year. But they will certainly be “inscribed in the book of life,” as it happens after enduring a 25 hours fast which ends when the last pray of Yom Kippur is over and the “shoffar” is played. And they’ll be forgiven for all the sins they have commited during the last year. Just a reminder: making money is NOT a sin in judaism. So, you don’t need to be forgiven if you went in the wrong direction, shorting a little before Rosh Hashana and covering today or in the next couple of days.

The chart today is the same as yesterday, only updated:

We are almost, almost, in the target area. At this point I’m not looking anymore for an entry point to go short, but quite the opposite. I know I might be losing a lot of opportunities, but I’m a position kind of trader. VIX today almost reached 60 and we’re not far from ’98 peak of 60.63.

I have another interesting date projection towards the end of the month:

Since I believe we are going to reach the target way before the end of the month, this date window could mark a top.

That’s it. Good trading for all.

  1. Is your target now 960.84 or the blue rectangle which still is above 920 as seen on the chart?

  4. Hi Fork_Master_Serg,

What is 7-28, and 8-1? Would you please explain them?

  5. David, it’s from the book Spiral Calendar

We’re using lunar(Moon) days instead of Sun days
Starting with spring equinox you count 7 lunar months and get usually October, sometimes September

    so 7 is Lunar Month
28 is Lunar day (from new moon)

  6. I tend to agree with your projection of a top, HOWEVER that would be an extremely brief 4 of (3). It’s possible but a bit surprising. We can only hope that we get that VIX below 30 in that short time frame.

  7. BTW, I would like to talk to you about something – we started chatting but then you dashed off never to return. I have an idea that involves use of the spiral calendar.
